Utah MMA Fighter Brings Home Win From California.

A Utah MMA fighter from Absolute MMA, Braeden Kilpack, brought home a three round unanimous decision from California last weekend. He fought an exciting amateur match in The Art of War promotion, “Game Face — Respect the Game” at 145 lbs. This victory improves Braeden’s record to 2-1-0. Oakdale Leader wrote an article about the card and mentioned his bout as part of the coverage for the event.
Braeden has been training consistently and looking to gain experience as an amateur before he goes pro. His coach, Rob Handley — of Absolute MMA, took him to California to do just that. They are currently talking with Showdown Fights, a Utah MMA event, to secure a match in their upcoming show, “X” on February 8.
“I’m happy with the win but I still have lots of things to improve on,” said Braeden about this fight. “I really wanted to finish that fight and not let it go to decision.” Braeden visited Oakdale MMA during the week before the fight and trained with the Last Stand Team. Oakdale MMA is run by Tom Theofanopoulos and is home to UFC interim bantamweight contender, Michael McDonald.
